ABOUT PRIVATE YOGA

This yoga methodology is different from the style of class you'd expect to see at the local gym or even the yoga studio down the street. Private therapeutic/medical yoga sessions take into account all of the unique aspects of your own physical history. We will discuss at your first session (and throughout our time working together) your specific perceived limitations and goals. I will use my wealth of teaching knowledge to offer unique movements rooted in the yoga tradition but not your typical "cookie cutter" class geared toward the fittest and most flexible bodies. This yoga will give you a deeper understanding at the neuromuscular factors that are at play in your body and contribute to your limitations. It will also help you find tools that you can use to masterfully unlock a deeper sense of strength and mobility. This class is less of a presentation and more of a conversation as we explore the proven healing benefits of yoga together. Private therapeutic yoga is useful for the treatment of:

  • Spine injury / herniated disks
  • Arthritis
  • Knee pain / replacement
  • Hip pain / replacement
  • Rotator Cuff injury / Frozen Shoulder
  • Sciatica
  • Wrist pain / Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
  • Any other physical, mental, or spiritual applications you can imagine

HOW IT WORKS

Private yoga sessions take place via Skype or in person at your home in Central New Jersey. We will generally meet once per week at your convenience during regular business hours (M-F, 9a - 6p). Sessions outside these hours may be available by request and at additional charge. Private yoga sessions last 1 hour and may include physical movement, breathwork and guided relaxation. Once you sign up for your first session online, we can schedule subsequent sessions at either the same time each week or at varied times based on your availability.
